Free Tuesday? Big Changes Are Coming to Glazer Children’s Museum—And They’re All About Making Play More Accessible for Families in Need
If your family loves the Glazer Children’s Museum—or you’ve been meaning to check it out—there’s a new program launching this fall that you’ll want to know about.
Starting October 1, 2025, Glazer Children’s Museum is introducing Play for Everyone, a brand-new initiative designed to make museum visits more flexible.
Play for Everyone will provide three different free or low-cost options for families to visit the Museum on days and times that work for them—instead of only on a few, limited free days during the year.
But even if your household isn’t considered low-income, there are still great ways to visit the museum for free or at a reduced cost. Keep reading to see which option might work best for you!
1. Access Pass – For Families Who Receive SNAP, EBT, or WIC
Families who qualify for benefits like SNAP, EBT, or WIC can apply for an Access Pass in person at the museum. Here’s what it includes:
- $5 admission per person, for up to four people
- Valid for a full 12 months
- Renewable every year
This option replaces Free Tuesday and allows qualifying families to come whenever it fits their schedule—not just once a month.
2. Partner Pass – For Families Connected with Local Nonprofits
Glazer is working directly with trusted community organizations to distribute free admission tickets to the families they support. Some of the partners include:
- Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tampa Bay
- Children’s Board of Hillsborough County
- Kennedy Cares Tampa Bay
- Mary Lee’s House, and more
If you’re involved with any of these nonprofits, reach out and ask about museum ticket availability.

3. Public Library Pass – A Great Option for Any Family
Don’t qualify for financial assistance? You can still visit the museum for free thanks to your local library!
Families can now check out a four-person museum pass just like a book. These are available through:
- Hillsborough County Public Libraries (look for the Discovery Pass)
- Select libraries in Pasco, Pinellas, and Polk Counties
This is a wonderful option for anyone looking to plan a museum day on a budget. Just visit your library’s website or stop by the front desk to learn more.

Other Access Efforts Still in Place
- Title One Field Trip Scholarships: Free entry for students and chaperones from Title One schools.
- Camp Imagination Scholarships: Up to 10% of summer camp spots are reserved for families in need.
Glazer Children’s Museum is shifting from limited free days to a more flexible, year-round system that puts the power in families’ hands.
Whether your family qualifies for assistance or you’re simply looking for fun, affordable things to do with your kids, there’s now more than one way to enjoy everything GCM has to offer.
