Family-Friendly Halloween Events
1. Lowry Park Zoo’s Creatures of the Night
Cost: Included in the price of admission or membership
Dates:Â Fridays and Saturdays October 7 – October 29 , Open til 10 p.m.Â
This new Halloween event will offer a wide-range of activities for all. From youngsters to teens and adults, find eerie adventures for the whole family. Wander into scare zones or encounter animals at night. Party the night away at a ghoulish dance party. No horror or gore, just scares and startles for one & all.
2. Brick-or-Treat Halloween at LEGOLAND FloridaÂ
1 Legoland Way, Winter Haven, 33884
Cost: Regular Admission prices/Included in membership
Dates: Weekends in October 1-2, 8-9, 15-16, 22-23, Â 29-30 and Halloween 31* 2016
Brick or Treat will be back with more spooky, kooky Halloween fun for kids. Expanded in 2016, the friendly-not-frightening event features trick-or-treating along the Brick or Treat Trail, larger-than-life LEGOÂ models, LEGO build activities, the world’s largest LEGO jack-o-lantern, a scavenger hunt with prizes, and an exclusive, Halloween-themed fireworks show in Pirates’ Cove.
3. Mr. Tommy’s Very Un-Scary Halloween Party
Cost:Â $7 and up
Date:Â Sunday, October 9, 2016 from 2-3 p.m.
Join Mr. Tommy for a scare-free Halloween Party with monster hits and a jack-o-lantern full of fun! Come in costume…there will be treats!
4. Halloween Spooktacular at Land O Lakes Rec Center
This year’s annual Halloween event will include carnival games, candy, games, and bounce houses. $1 per person entry. This event is geared towards families 10 and younger, with their families. Costumes are encouraged!

5. Largo Central Park’s Halloween Spooktacular
101 Central Park Dr., Largo FL 33771
Cost:Â Free admission. Wristbands and tickets can be purchased separately. Â Parking $10 (limited on site). Â Off-site parking/shuttle free.
Date: Saturday, October 29, Â 2016 from 12-5pm
Largo’s spooktacular includes fun and games for kids 12 and under. Enjoy a trick-or-treat trail (12-4pm only), inflatables, a hay maze, games, music, activities and much more. Bounce houses, a petting zoo and strolling entertainment are just a few of the activities that make this a great event for the whole family.
6. Florida Aquarium’s Guppyween
701 Channelside Dr., Tampa, FL 33602
Cost:Â Kids in costume: $10
Adults (12yrs and older): Regular Admission Pricing
Florida Aquarium Members & children under 2 get in free.
Dates:Â October 29 & 30, 1-5pm
Join The Florida Aquarium for their annual Guppyween Halloween event. Trick-or-treat among over 20,000 sea creatures, making for the perfect family-friendly Halloween event. Entertainment and treats will be provided, so come dressed in your best costume! Become an Aquarium Member and get in free!
7. Halloween Spree at Glazer Museum
October 31 @ 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm
This spooktackular Halloween Spree is Tampa’s destination for family tricks or treats!  Glazer Children’s Museum hosts the premiere safe, indoor, trick-or-treat spot for families on Halloween night. This isn’t your normal trick-or-treat event because it features more than just candy. Families play carnival-style games, win prizes, collect candy from stations, rock out to Halloween tunes and have fun with special guests.

8. Fall Fest by Tampa Bay Moms Group
The events will take place inside the Brandon Mall on Saturday, October 29th, 10am to 3pm
Citrus Park Mall on Sunday, October 30th from 10am to 3pm with our annual Trunk or Treat to follow from 5pm to 7pm on the 3rd floor of the parking garage.
The Fall Fest will feature a main stage with performances by some of the most popular acts in local children’s entertainment as well as activities, games and special guest appearances from our favorite characters, princesses and superheroes. Children are encouraged to dress in costume and as they visit each exhibitor play a game or collect a treat.
9. Clearwater Threshers Boo Bash
Monday, October 31 from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m.
Bright House Field, 601 N. Old Coachman Rd.

This free event is a safe community Halloween celebration, featuring many interactive areas for kids, including games, hayrides, a costume parade on the field, and plenty of candy.
10. Heritage Church Boo Bash

Scary Halloween Events
1. Howl-O-Scream at Busch Gardens

Date: Select nights Sept. 23rd- Oct. 30, 2016
Visit Busch Gardens Tampa for some scary haunted houses and terror at every turn. Not suitable for young children. No costumes allowed.Â
2. Central Pasco & Gulf Railroad Halloween Train 2016 (Spooky & Non-Spooky options)
16739 Crews Lake Dr, Spring Hill, FL 34610
Cost:Â $5.00 per person.
Dates:Â (Friday & Saturday)
October 14 & 15, October 21 & 22  and October 28 & 29 from 6-10 p.m.
This popular annual event is a hit with the entire family at Crews Lake  Wilderness Park. Come join on a Spooktacular ride through the Haunted Woods (if you dare). Food vendors will be on hand  7PM – 10PM.
Enjoy a “NOT SO SPOOKY” Matinee Train Ride. This “Daytime” (6pm) Train Ride is suitable for more sensitive family members (no costumed characters or startling surprises), but still features our Halloween decorations and a lovely train ride.
3. Haunted Woods at Hillsborough River State Park
Cost: Ages 13 and up $10.00/each. Ages 12 and under Free!
Dates: Friday, October 22nd and Saturday, October 23, 2016, from 6-10 p.m.
Event includes the Haunted Woods Trail, Coloring Contests, and Family Tram Ride (Tram runs Saturday Night ONLY!). Refreshments will be available and music will be filling the air. There will be a Costume Contest both nights. All ages – 6:00 pm – Prizes! It is a safe alternative to Trick-Or-Treating! Bring the whole family and come walk through our Haunted Woods for a scary, fun time.
4. Haunted Horse-A-Ween

Cost: Free admission. Pay for activities separately.
Dates: Every Friday and Saturday night in October. 6:00 – 10:00 p.m.

Who said the ghost and goblins only come out at night? Costumed Munchkins are invited to take part in the Halloween Parade and will enjoy lots of Treat Stations hosted by Civic Clubs & Businesses along the route. Tickets are $2 per child to attend, you must have a ticket to participate & be between the
ages of 3-10 years old!
